We have just released 11 new and exciting races and expeditions onboard Magic Miles. The ever popular Hamilton Island Race Week is back in 2024 and 2025 for the first time since 2022, we now have extra crew spots for the 2024 and 2025 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race's and we have brand new 2-week expeditions planned around the Great Barrier Reef Islands and the Torres Strait Islands for the very first time.
2024 Events

Embarking on a sailing passage from Hobart to Sydney is an extraordinary adventure that not only traverses the picturesque Tasmanian and New South Wales coastlines but also takes you through a journey steeped in history and natural beauty.

The passage from Sydney, New South Wales to Southport on Queensland’s Gold Coast to is a great coastal passage for building sea miles, confidence and experience. We’ll depart Sydney and head north-east to Cape Byron, the eastern most point of Australia, before altering course for the Gold Coast.

Take a stunning passage from the sunny Gold Coast, up Queensland's East Coast through the sparkling Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef to Airlie Beach. We’ll overnight at islands such as; Lady Musgrave Reef, Middle Percy Island and Scawfell Island and/or coastal marina’s on the passage.

Join us for a relaxing coastal passage from Airlie Beach, along the North Queensland Coast to Cape York at the very top and onto Thursday Island. The North Queensland is packed with pristine anchorages, reefs, and wilderness of the Great Barrier Reef.

Take a stunning 600nm ocean passage from Hamilton Island south, down Queensland's East Coast through the sparkling Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef to the Gold Coast. We'll overnight at two to three islands on the way south.

The Rolex Sydney Hobart Race is one of the toughest and most respected ocean races in the world. It’s the only major race that starts in a harbour, takes in a passage and finishes in a river. This will be the 79th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, with a fleet in excess of 100 yachts expected. The electric pre-race village atmosphere at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) followed by the excitement of the build-up to the start on Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day is hard to describe.

Payment options:
Option 1: 50% deposit payable following the approval of your booking. Balance of 50% is payable 60 days before departure.
Option 2: 20% deposit payable following the approval of your booking. Balance payable in equal weekly automatic payments.
Option 3: 100% payable if less than 60 days until departure.
COVID-19 peace of mind:
If you book an event and then cancel because of COVID-19 border control / quarantine restrictions, your registration fees will be 100% refunded in full or transferred to another event.
